The Doberman Island Republic is a small three hundred acre republic which claims Fosters Island, off the coast of Maine. This small republic was founded with the intention of providing pure equality, freedom, and justice. The Doberman Island Repubilc is a Secessionist state.

The Capital of the DIR is called North Point, it is the Northern area of the Island, which is where the capital cabin of the Family of Power is located. The Largest city is the capital city, the second largest is the South Point, which is the Electric centre of the country.

Etymology

Doberman Island Republic was named in a voting by the Schmit and Parks family, the Doberman Island Republic's name comes from the islands near by. "Ripley", an island off the coast of Maine, is close to Foster Island, which is where the republic is located. Ripley is the name of a strong willed Doberman the founders once knew. They soon connected the fact that dobermans are strong willed, cunning, and strong animals to the country and it's people. Thus the Doberman Island Republic was voted in as the official name.

History

Rockefeller Years

The Rockefeller family purchased the Island in the 1960's. In 1973, Mr. and Mrs. David Rockefeller placed a conservation easement on the property, it was then given to the state of Maine.

Formation. April 21st, 2013

Nathaniel P. and Alex S. both were searching for an Island to start a nation on, they looked at many islands but only one really popped out. It was later claimed and is now where the families govern.

FCN admission. April 21st, 2013

The DIR was admitted into the FCN early in the creation of the country after it had allied with it's first official ally,Jera-Empire.

Civil Political War. April 25th, 2013

The Doberman Island Republic in 2013 was in an uproar, the Forsman family proposed an exile of all Homosexuals in the nation, foreign nations attempted to help, but Man of Power Nathaniel P talked to William F and eventually they came to term. The two men formed the South State pact.

Gaining friends. May 5th, 2013

The DIR officially started a campaign to get as many allies as possible in order to increase foreign presence of the nation. The DIR is already planning on making a FCN court and office in both the capital and Rosvino.

Marxist - Leninist North State ban on specific media. June 2nd, 2013

North State as an individual state banned youtube videos from the youtuber known as "PewDiePie", from all Social Media devices. Dasmundie follows behind with the same ban, as does Rosvino, but, South State still allows them.

Dasmundie push to fully ban "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" from Dobermanian Television. June 10th, 2013

Dasmundie and Rosvino impose a ban on the show "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" due to the fact that Schmit family members think it's fan base is "trash". It will not be allowed there and they are now pushing for a nation wide ban by 2014.

Creating the Micronational Alliance Association. June 15th, 2013

The DIR created the MAA in case of the collapse of the FCN .

Leaving the FCN. June 17th, 2013

The DIR left the FCN after the leaders of the FCN voted that the organization was officially closed for good.

Bitcoins. June 18th, 2013

The Doberman Island Republic voted on changing the national currency to bitcoins. Bitcoins were proven to be much more effecient when it comes to trade and transactions over the standard Doberman Dollar.

The day there was no money. June 18th, 2013

The people of the DIR voted against bitcoins. The economy dropped and now the nation has no official currency.

The DIR's government styles itself as a Constitutional Semi-Monarchist Democratic Socialist Republic.

Citizens vote for a family to take a four year term in power, between the Schmit, Forsman, and Parks families. The citizens vote which child of which family becomes the countries leader. There are no electoral votes, the nation has an official counter count up every vote and tally them for the candidates.

Military

The Military of the country is the "Doberman Island Republic peoples assault and defence forces."

It's a military is split into three units, Ground Force, Naval Force, and Aeriel force, all under the Secretary of Government.

The military is equipped with Airsoft, Paintball, BB, Pellet, or actual fire arms, depending on the unit the soldier is in.

The Military has a warning system for the public. Noted as "Warning System: A" it is updated on the website when ever the government allowes it to change.

The Government's take on women's rights.

The Parks Family have always been major supporters of Women's rights since they first started the nation. Nathaniel founded the "Center for equal treatment of humanity" three days after starting the nation, this center has laid down some bases as to how people should be treated no matter Religion, Gender, or Ethnicity.

The Schmit Family also is for women's rights, yet, they do not allow modern day feminists to protest about it.
The Schmit Family has been against feminist movements for about five years and promised that it will not happen in his state, or women will have it "Tough".

The Forsman Family is much like the Schmit on the topic of women's rights. Forsman is for it, but if they act in the way modern feminist protesters do, then he will have orders to "evict" the individuals issued to all of the armed police in his state.


Nathaniel: I believe women deserve to be treated like men, under my authority I make sure that women and men get equal pay rates, opportunities, and success rates. I have a best friend / sister known in the Republic as Princess Protectorate Elizabeth and she means the world to me, since she started getting pushed around at her school for being a female, much like the other females, I started defending women's rights. I established the CETH in order to keep everyone equal under my power, I cannot say if the organization will stay government funded after the Parks family is out of the term, but I will privatize it if need be.

Alex: I'm for women's rights and all, but I don't want protesters banging down my door because they aren't "treated equally." I'm an Empirialist, I'm supposed to be above the people, I only want them to understand that it's the citizen's duty to decided who is and isn't equal, not the governments. I don't agree with CETH, if I'm in office, I'm going to abolish it. Don't get me wrong, you can have rights, just not the rights that modern day feminists argue for.

William: I agree with Alex, modern day feminism is a terrible thing, CETH is unconstitutional, and the Government has no right to decide what's considered right and wrong on the boundaries of how to treat one another. I've been working as the Head of Government for the DIR for two months and five days now and I think I know how to run this place with the utmost respect towards every faction. Women, you can have rights, but only the rights that I decide are good for the nation.

The Schmit family is one of the founding families of the nation, this family is credited with the creation of the first currency, and the name of the country. They are Monarchist, and are involved in many hobbies, including most of the national sports. The Schmit family is in charge of Dasmundie, the Police, and the Education system.

Parks Family

The Parks family is also one of the founding families of the nation. This family is credited for making the national wiki, website, and finding the location for the country in general. They are Marxist-Leninist but are lose on their pseudo-Communist policies, they only wish for equality. They are in charge of North State, The treasury, and the Doberman Island Republic foreign affairs ambassador.

Forsman Family

The Forsman Family is one of the founding families of the nation as well. The Forsman family is Democratic-Republican and their elder, William F. is the leader of the Military. The Forsman family is in charge of the of the military and they are also in charge of the catholic church of Doberman Island Republic.
